Our plants are still growing well, despite the drought, so it's well worth a look to see some of the success stories spread across the district. We invite you to join us on a free bus tour that will give an overview of our activities and explain the "big picture" ideas that underlie the entire project.

The tour will look at:

• The amazing survival of last year's seedlings, despite the drought!
• The phenomenal growth on our older planting sites.
• Regrowth of trees after mistletoe pruning.
• Effects of different planting densities on habitat value.
• Effects of grazing on habitat value.
• Special places in the Lurg Hills & how they help to preserve wildlife.
• What's the value of habitat areas for the average farmer?
• What use is biodiversity to your property?
• What are the signs of a healthy or unhealthy landscape?
• How can we turn the situation around?
• What makes good habitat?
• Creek lines as the "bread basket" of our landscape.
• Why worry about wildlife corridors?
• Grand plans for wildlife and how we might tackle them together.

We will let you know the date for the 2008 tour a little closer to the day. Around the middle of May is likely.

We'd love you to join us as we celebrate the achievements of this past year, and take a look ahead to the challenges and plans for the future.

We'll gather at Cleadon, the home of Rob Richardson and Alana Johnson, on Alexander Rd, out Kilfeera way. It's in a very relaxed setting and of course with the congenial company of other interested people!

The AGM is also the perfect time to say thankyou to the people who support our work in so many ways. Locals, visitors and funding bodies all acting together, makes for a very powerful team.
