16th and 17th August: planting weekend.
30th and 31st August: planting weekend.
13th and 14th September: planting weekend.
4th and 5th October: bird survey. With the help of Birds Australia Victoria, we plan to repeat our survey of bird populations in all the major remnants in Lurg, key roadsides, and scores of planting sites. These surveys provide vital data to help us evaluate how successful our work really is. (See more detail and lots of pictures of the 2005 survey.) The event is free-of-charge but registration is essential. Please RSVP by Friday 26th September. BYO food, all camping gear, binoculars and bird-watching equipment.
